oh my, there is so much stuff i want to comment on but for four pages.
terrence, you are right about one or two things one being that da7600 are nice) and you wrong about a whole lot of things. i seriously doubt any kind of reduced friction from your new hubs made any difference. a better wheel build, lighter wheels (not hubs) and lighter tires maybe made you feel faster and better able to stop. those DA hubs probably take a 13mm cone wrench in the front and 15 in the rear. i think 16mm is the size of the locknuts but it sounds like you just take your hubs into get serviced to just make sure you do that every once in a while. i rode some of those DA7600 for a few months and they were much smoother after the had been ridden.
i just laced some NOS super record hubs up, had to adjust the cones a very minute amount and they don't spin as long as my early 60's record hubs...they are smooth but don't spin as long. after they get ridden some they probably will.
andre nick, your NJS bike faster because it's NJS. jees, don't ya know. a 75" frame and 73" frame are HUGE though, are they custom?
