Here's the deal - I've got a 27" x 1 1/4" wheel with a 36 hole fixed hub and the whole fixie setup on it. I want to convert a new bike and use these old parts and am wondering if it's possible.

The other wheel is 700 x 25c. It's current hub has the same number of spokes.

Even without measuring, I can see that the spacing of the spokes is closer on the 700 wheel, so my assumption is that if I was to switch the hubs, I'd have to get a new set of spokes.

So - does this sound right? I can stick it in, just with new spokes, or are there other calculations I'm missing?
