I am implying they probably break down the same. Except those who spends more on bikes will spend more on repairs...... If I visit the nearby LBS, the road bikes seem to the ones constantly in the shop and being repaired or tuned up.

You know what is the very worst thing I've had go wrong with a Walmart bike in over 20,000 miles of riding them? A tree branch getting stuck in my spokes ruining the rim. The same tree branch that would ruin nearly any other bicycle save perhaps a BMX bicycle without spokes.

Other than that, flat tires, a chain replacement, tire replacements, and new pedals is the worst I've ever had happen, which happens on any bicycle. Unless the frame totally gets destroyed, it's real easy to repair almost anything on a bicycle.

Yes, I do buy a new bike each year so you can say I do go through them like McDonald's burger wrappers. Except I buy a new one by choice, because I like a new ride each year.

The idea is to get people riding bicycles as much as possible regardless of where they purchase them... but so many supremacist in here simply don't get that simple concept.

I still can't figure out why LBS bike owners put down Walmart bikes.... except I think it's an ego thing with them to justify their purchase. Just enjoy your bikes people like I do, regardless of where you get them from... rather it be Walmart, LBS or a yard sale.
