I recently read that Campy dealers will be facing a price increase in the neighbourhood of 30% for 2008, at least for the North American market. The US dollar has fallen so far and so fast that nobody is expecting it to recover anytime soon and Campy (and all European companies, likely) is adjusting accordingly.

Shimano is expected to raise their prices by 10% or so, we shall see. Perhaps Shimano is going to win by default.

But yeah, the gap between the Euro and the USD has grown very wide. It is an unusual time, this is unmarked territory.
