I was planning on building up a budget fixed gear bike just to give it a try. I have this old Apollo frame that I stripped for powder coating, (my shop does powder coating), and I was going to have it painted this week. Thing is, from reading around I'm getting the impression that Apollo bikes are pretty worthless. For my purposes, being building up a bike on the cheap just to see if I like it, would you say I should even bother with this thing? I suppose if I like it I could always get a better frame and switch the components over.
