Thanks for posting the "before" pics. Dr.D confessed today that he didn't recall its condition.

I had to replace the fork due to the fused stem inside the steering tube. Thus the reason for the chrome "socks." Here's a larger version of "Sporty."



So do I use the chrome "hat" for the fork crown. One can be seen in el twe's "before" picture above. We are leaning away from using it and Dr.D doubts it will fit after so many layers of paint and clear.
