It is an old style Standard PT. The hub is the same as the old style Pro PT (which thay are also selling for $899). The difference is in the cpu and wiring kit. You cannot attach a cadence sensor, use it as an HRM monitor only or do smoothing averages real time.

Also note that Saris no longer supports either of the old style hubs. The have no parts to fix them, but will give you a 'trade-in' to a new style hub. Don't know how long the trade-in offer will last.

Also, unless there is some real market pressure, I don't see Saris ever making the PTs compatible with Garmin.
