sigh. please for the love of god fix my bike. i thought fixies were supposed to be no fuss. i fuss with this bike all the goddamn time and then when i get one thing perfect its something else. now it is the worst ever to the point where i feel something is really wrong but i cant tell what. it used to be a little bird creak that id get under load. now after messing with the chainring and cranks and pedals there is something new thats even more disconcerting: a weird regular swishing noise like a tire rubbing (but its not that!) plus an odd 'wiggle' or 'shudder' or 'waver' that goes briefly through the crankarms (i thnk both of them) that feels like i am going over slight little smooth road bumps. its so slight that sometimes i think im crazy and the roads here are bad enough its really hard to tell. its not quite a vibration more of a sudden 'wonk' and then gone again and it doesnt seem to come back with every pedal stroke. am i insane? i cant see it happening when the bike is in the stand. it does not make noise when i spin the cranks with the chain off (so its not the bb?). i have tried getting some speed, putting my feet up and coasting with my head down as low as i can get it w/o crashing and the swishing noise remains but i have no clue where its coming from. one of my stackbolts is stripped (but seems tight enough) and other than than i have no idea what is wrong. oh except for my wierd french bb shell situation but it has been fine for quite a while why would it get so much worse all of a sudden without me even touching it?? aaaargh! its like the more i worry about my bike the more it gives me to worry about.
