You're very right IF they notice us. Or if they are not in some quasi road rage state already. I've seen far too much of both of these around here to risk myself riding on the main roads in my area unless there's an engine between my knees so I can stay with the flow.

And it's not just the coffee drinking, newspaper reading, cellphone talking or just totally terrorized drivers (yes, I've seen drivers that were so scared behind the wheel that I have NO idea how they passed their test.. actually I do. It's not that hard to "buy" your license around here if you know the right tester. There's been expose's done and I'm sure it's still happening). There's also the ones that think it's THEIR road and have so little confidence in their own manhood that they have to terrorize everyone else to make themselves feel better.

I once had a car full of "gang" kids pull out from a parking lot stupidly close in front of me after obviously waiting for just the right timing. The windows where down on the car as I pulled alongside at the next red light on my motorcycle. I looked at them and they were all giving me the finger. They were not afraid of reports and insurance as they had no intention of stopping to see if I'd done anything wrong to myself. And I strongly suspect that if I had rear ended their car that instead of calling for medical aid they would have happily beat me to a pulp.

I see this sort of activity about once ever few months around here.

I can hardly wait to move to the country..... In the meantime I'll stick to my side streets even if it does mean slowing at each intersection. I don't need the stress and the extra starts is just more exercise.
