I thought the Hed jet 50 is only come in clincher...but I have a guy who is selling the wheelset and told me over the phone that he is using sew-up tires.

Is it possible to use a tubular tires on a clincher wheels?
I will try to check it out in person...I assume I can verify by just looking for the beads on the rail to see if it is a clincher type or not. Is that right?

If so, should I be concern that he has placed glue/tape on the clincher wheels?

I'm sure by now..you guys know I'm a newbie on the road and I'm in the market for a clincher. I appreciate for all you help.
