My bad....I didn't look at the appendix the first time (in proper BF fashion, of course). You changed my mind...his equations are fine.

How does a flat course minimize rolling resistance? Wouldn't it be faster, making the rolling resistance higher?

Looking at Sheldon Brown's graph it looks like you can get up to about a 20% decrease in rolling resistance by using fast clinchers. What does that mean in terms of power saved?
