haha, ok. you put a hole in it after you've run it through your pedal and clip and can see how tight you want it. then the little thingy goes through the hole. when the leather finishes stretching (or your feet get back in to shape ) you make a new hole. yeah there are no holes in the picture, is that what you're wondering about?
