Sadly, that's what this particular subforum is all about. You can get some useful information, but you have to pick it out from all the nonsense. In other news, I believe you're overthinking this. Firstly, you either need to ride with your straps looser, or reach down and loosen them as you decelerate (not easy on a fix, I grant you). Then, slow down close to a stop, pull out your right foot, apply the brake to bring the bike to a halt, then put your foot down. Attempting to put your foot down whilst still rolling is a recipe for silliness on any bike.
