Help me choose a new bike (v. Let's beat a dead horse)

I recently had a little mishap on my trusty, but apparently accident prone K2 that I think has ended its stint as my main bike. It'll cost more to fix than I care to spend just to be right where I was, so I've decided to just replace it with something nice, which I'd been thinking about anyway.

My price range is about $2,000. It seems like I can get some pretty nice hardware in that range that should last for a while. The riding I do is best described as recreational, although I'll probably ride it to work (keep it in my huge empty office) occasionally or try racing at some point in a year or so. I do most of my riding solo, and I'm fairly light at ~6' tall and 150ish pounds. I don't mind getting "more bike than I need," right now because I figure I'm more likely to get better at riding than I am to get worse.

The bikes at the top of my list, without actually visiting any shops yet, are:

Cervelo Soloist Team - This is the one road bike in this price range I have actually ridden. I liked it a lot, and could definitely live with owning one. There's a local Cervelo dealer I think I'll visit this afternoon to look at one that seems to be pretty popular in my area (Austin, TX).

Kestrel RT700 @ BD - This sounds like almost too good a deal to pass up, but I've never ridden one. Can anyone comment on it?

2007 Trek Madone 5.0 - LBS appears to have this on clearance for $2K. For some reason, I just can't get excited about Trek, but it is a nice piece of hardware. Wheels on the Madone (Bontrager Race somethings) appear to be a notch or two nicer than the Shimano and the Ritchey ones the other options I've listed here come with.

Specialized Tarmac Elite in various trim @ Same LBS - Mostly 105 instead of Ultegra, but a little less expensive. There's also a Tarmac Comp that's a little nicer, and comes in a sweet orange scheme, but it's a bit higher than I really wanted to spend.

Can anyone comment on these or suggest something else I should look at? Thanks in advance, guys.
