Heh. Yeah. I guess I've never been very realistic about anything. The quote I had from the Chinese builder was around $550 for a frame of my specifications, (with an EBB!) but I was concerned about workmanship. The truth of the matter is that titanium is not a precious metal and is no longer outrageously expensive to refine. The market hasn't caught on to this fact yet, tho, so these frames are overpriced.

Re: Nyack.. Yeah.. have been meaning to do some rides up to Nyack. I go across the GWB on occasion, but I do most of my real (non commuting) rides on the Central Park drive and the west side greenway.
