Here is another relatively inexpensive, but reasonable quality crankset---the Octalink V2, Shimano Deore MTB crankset with 22-32-44 chainrings for $75.00.

It requires an Octalink V2 bottom bracket, also available at Universal Cycles, from $15 to $40.

Universal Cycles has a wide range of MTB cranksets if you don't like that one.
