Ugh.. I had one of those moments last night. I couldn't get my left-side pedal to unthread. I hate that feeling where you're expecting the thing to let go all of a sudden, causing you to bash your teeth/forehead/knuckles/balls/knees/etc on something hurty. Ugh. I never did wind up getting it undone, I totally wussed out. I had no problem at all on the right pedal however. I wonder if it's from all the extra work the left-pedal gets in a cyclocross race with all the dismounts where you're rolling along with all your weight on one pedal (which is the left one for me).
