I finally got some free time to ride, and the weather went from 50's/60's and windy to 80's/90's with a light breeze.

Saturday, I teamed up with Mhendricks and a couple of his buddies to do a rather rural loop south of San Jose. 45 miles and ~3,000' of climbing later on a rather hot day found me wiped out, but I was quickly resuscitated at the local In-N-Out Burger. It was an outstanding day to be out and about, and a very beautiful ride with great company.

Sunday, I hooked up with Bikingshearer and his pal to do a nice easy spin. 35 miles and ~2,000' of climbing later on a similarly hot day left me a little bit flagging, but yet another application of burger therapy set me right in short order.

So, after 2 weeks off a bike, I picked up 80 miles and ~5,000' of climbing in unseasonably hot wesather. Today, it's back to the high 50's with gusting wind, so the weather window is closed again for the time being.
