I painted the fork on Sunday. Looks good. Now all I need is a way to bake it at 300 degrees for a couple hours. I just survived mentioning doing this in our kitchen oven in front of my wife. So now I'm considering either a solar hot box arrangement or using a contained propane heater.

don't use an oven that will ever have food in it, as you will NEVER get the paint smell out. (your wife is a smart lady) if you know someone that works in a body shop, some have giant curing rooms, they could just set the fork in the room and bake with the car for a few hours

or just use a quartz space heater, and set the fork about 3-4 feet away, and rotate it every hour or so.

probably only need 3-4 hours like that,...the solar box will also work, I remember baking a cake in a solar box as a science class project.

I'd just use a better type of spray paint if it was me, and skip the oven step entirely.
