Good job, OP. I had my MTN bike and my first fixed gear conversion stolen out of my locked garage last summer. Both bikes were locked up in the garage and they were still stolen. This happened in the middle of the night while I was watching tv. Had I looked out my back door before going to bed, I'd have probably caught them in the act. I'm not a very violent person, but I would have like to have had the chance to catch them in the act.

To the folks saying the OP shouldn't have held the theif down, the hell with that!
