I have a different view. I like camelbaks when it's really hot because it keeps the water cold and I drink more. I honestly have trouble remembering to drink. I also like being able to take a long drink and still keep my hands on the bars.

I also hate tilting my head back to drink from a water bottle. I've modified most of my water bottles so that I have a piece of plastic tubing that works like a those camelbak water bottles.

Last August I rode home from work (14 miles) when it was 106 degrees. I started with two frozen water bottles and a camelbak full of ice water. When I got home, I was cool and hydrated and still sipping cold water from my camelbak.

I just got one of those Camelbaks that goes around your waist like a fanny pack. It's very comfortable, and holds as much as two water bottles. I can also wear it with a messenger bag or put it in a messenger bag.
