+1. I ride over 100 miles per week in the PV and south bay areas and I'm always seeing cyclists totally ignoring stop signs, blowing right through them. These people are perpetuating a bad image of cyclists to each and every person who witnesses their selfishness. Since I too am a cyclist, I feel it reflects poorly on me indirectly. For that I am annoyed.

I just don’t see what’s so difficult about stopping. As others have stated, you really don’t need to come to a full complete stop (even though the legal definition says otherwise). My experience is that if you stop pedaling and slow to less than 2 mph, you’re good. I’ve done this many times with officers looking on and have never had any trouble. Not once.

It’s not hard for the police to find a cyclist blowing through a stop sign. I say more power to the Redondo PD.
