Muscle pain, fitting problem or just not fit enough?

Twice now in my last 2 races I've experienced quite a painful muscle ache during the cool down laps or after I get off the bike.
The pain is located in the lower butt area, I guess where my saddle connects to my butt, and it seems like it only appears after a bigger effort for a longer time like > 10 min. That part is still pretty darn sore for the next two days after the race.

The first time I've experienced it, it felt like a huge cramp and I couldn't even sit on my ass for the first 5 minutes it was so painful.

Anyone have any experience or advice what that could be? Saddle to hard/soft/high/low or is it just simply HTFU and work on your fitness? The other parts of my lower body feel ok, with the feeling of the guads slightly being under more stress than my calves.

Any insight would be appreciated.
