These guys expressed sentiments that I'd agree with. It'd probably make a good commuter, definitely good if you want to haul stuff around in baskets or on racks, probably be awesome for cruising to the bar or beer store or having a relaxed/drunk ride, but it won't be a nimble speed machine. It's much closer to a townie than a track bike. And for a townie, you can just get an old road/touring frame for less money and throw some cruiser bars on it (or an old mountain frame. I just built a townie with an early- to mid-90s Raleigh mountain frame).
