I already bought a Madone 5.2, the price you would be paying is a correct one. About the ride, it's obvious I would recommend you the Madone as I already bought one. Just try riding on both. My opinion is that the Madone is smooth and also climbs fast, that's what i like to do the most. The shape of the new ultegra 2005 shifters (narrower) should be great for handling out of the saddle. I'm still waiting for it to arrive.
