Actually, it's the cheapest bike I've bought in the 20+ years I've been riding. Each of the four other frames I've owned needed replacing in 6 years, or less. Breakage, rust, and/or fatigue eventually took their toll on each frame. Given my Vortex is now a few years old, I very likely would already have replaced the frame at least once were it anything other than titanium. To buy once at $7500 (or less for frame only) is far smarter and cheaper than to buy four replacement frames at $2000 each. ($8,000 - $7500 = $500) I'll gladly keep that extra $500 bucks in my pocket. (Mind you, these are conservative figures. In reality, the savings would be greater.)
Sorry, but what you see here is a person with some brains, but a lot less money. I have to take the cheapest way out. I can't afford anything else.
