wrong, because it has to do with cable pull ratio.
FD you can get away with, but RD you can apparently do: campy brifter + sram RD and have it index properly with a shimano cassette.
There's also the J-tek shiftmate which helps to correct the pull ratio.
Otherwise just buy a shimano RD
