Thanks again. Almost there!!! I finally got the top screw socket to move down, and the 1 series shims seem to work. I can now properly center the cleats. Last question here. Which screws? Speedplay instructions say you need to get at the LEAST six full turns on a screw. That would mean the silver (long) ones. On the other hand, Sidi says the screws can only protrude into the sole so far (6-7mm), which would seem to dictate the black screws, otherwise you risk compromsing the sole, void warranty, universe collapses, etc. I can only get 3, maybe 4 turns on a black screw. What has your experience been?
