Interesting cycling-related parts of the city's "contingency plan" in the event of TTC strike (from http://www.toronto.ca/ttc-disruption/index.htm):

Reserved Cycling Lanes:
The curb lanes on both sides of Bay Street, between Queens Quay West and Yorkville Avenue; Queens Quay West, between Lower Spadina Avenue and Yonge Street; Dundas Street East, between River Street and Broadview Avenue will be designated for bicycles only. Vehicles will be prohibited from stopping on sections of the roadway designated as bicycle only lanes.

Bicycle Parking: A temporary bicycle parking lot will be set up at City Hall, on Nathan Phillips Square. The lot will provide additional spaces for the many commuters who will need a downtown location to lock their bike.
