I went on a 66 total mile group ride today. Weather was gorgeous, 65-75 throughout. This was my first group ride ever, actually, and also my first ride over 27 miles, so I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I hung on to the pack for about 2/3rds of each way on the loop. I accidentally made the best decision ever--we were starting up again after stopping halfway, and there were about 4 guys who had left a little earlier ahead of the pack. The pack was still warming up so I bridged over and then we hit a huuuuge hill which we all struggled through. We crested just to get caught by the pack, so I managed to hang on to the pack for about 10 miles until the next big hill.
