My question is why were you going 25-30 mph on icy roads? I slow down or stay off two wheels during the icy road days. I was on a recent commute the other day (not wearing a helmet) when I noticed two cyclists coming toward me all decked out with helmets etc. The problem was, they were riding with no hands on the handlebars. See where I am going with this line of thought?
