Yeah, I'm an a#$hole. It just bugs me to see bikes on cars. It seems so contrary.
That said, I wouldn't want to ride from PA to chicago on that bike either.
i toss my bike in my car all the time to ride to a place nearer a trail entrance. the roads immediately surrounding my house are shoulderless, extremely winding and hilly. i only have to go about 3 miles, but it's well worth the safety, imo.
