Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.

Short answer is: yes.

If the bike doesn't need to be completely rebuilt, it should do you just fine for a 600 mile tour. Do check in with the experts in the Touring Forum, but I suspect they will tell you the same thing. Of course, they will do a lot more quizzing of you .
