Was off on holiday last week, so today is my first commute since Thurs 4/10. Had spokes pull through the rim on my rear Mavic MA3 rim that day. I wasn't stranded but had a very slow ride home, especially given the head wind coupled with the rim rubbing on frame. It was probably the 5th time that's happened to me in the last 3-4 years-annoying enough that I've given up on the MA3, even though it would have been a warranty repair. The newly installed $140 Mavix CXP33 rim behaved itself on the way in this AM....hoping it lasts me at least a couple of years. The CXP33 was recommended by several folks on bikeforums clydesdale group

Yesterday's commute home was kinda brutal; fought a headwind the whole way.
This morning's commute was better until some a**hole (driving a Time Warner Cable truck--how dumb have you gotta be to do this when driving your employer's truck?) passed me using a right-turn-only-lane (perfectly good left lane there!), screamed "Get the he** over!", and then cut in front of me. Though people do this to me at this same spot all the time, this guy just really pi$$ed me off. I dialed it up to 400w, sped up to about 29 mph, and would have caught him if not for the uphill.

I couldn't get the truck number either or I'd be on the phone with Time Warner now.
