All this may limit demand for many things, which, if stretched, could arguably reduce prices a number of things.

One issue with that though is the demand from developing countries. India, China .. and still to come, the continent of Africa. Whose place is it to tell these countries to stop growing?

In some parts of Europe (in Germany, I know), you get fined for "warming" your car in the morning or after it's been sitting out in the cold. We take this for granted in the temperate climates here; what with remote starters and all. People would scream anarchy if someone were to ever suggest that you'd get fined for idling your car without anyone sitting in it.

All this to say, like many have said here, that it will take the collective to make an impact.

For me, 26 gallon tank. Let's say I fill up once a week (happens unless I travel 2-3 weeks of the month). at $3.75/gal, this is $390/month .. just gone. $416 when it reaches $4/gallon.

Sadly, the only choice I [want to] have is to buy a hybrid and park the beast until the snow hits or I need to haul crap. I should be thankful that I have the option and can exercise it.

If you make $400 a week (before taxes), you will have some issues. I guess people feel Hillary can relate to this But I digress.
