I found the exact opposite. On my main bike I use the quad gate Somas with vegan straps on GR9s and love them to death. That being said, my other bike has MKS singles to some junk Wellgo pedals. I think the double excel in every way that one could hope them too.

Everyones feet are going to fit pedals/clips/straps differently than the next guys. You really need to try them out to see what is most comfortable for you. I never plan on setting anything up with singles again.
