I see it entirely as an optional supplementation. Considering the vast majority of people take statins without any need for this "supplement", I find your assertion (and the assertions on that website) highly dubious.

Furthermore, the hypothesis that low CoQ10 (as a result of statins) leads to accelerated atherosclerosis as purported on that website fails simple observation evidence that the higher the dose of statins, the greater the likelihood of regression of atherosclerotic plaques.
