Shallow drop bars are anything from 120 (I believe Bontrager VR is 120) to 135 (many including Deda, Easton, Oval, and Ritchey). Someone else mentioned FSA.

Most "ergo" bars are full depth drop. Two that I know of that are shallow drop - in the 135 range - are Easton EA70 (and I also believe EA30 and EA50) and the Ritchey Biomax. The Easton bars are a mild ergo with just a flattened spot in the drops. The Biomax have a substantial bump in that spot.

Shape is strictly personal. One way you can approach it is to look on ebay and pick up a couple-three sets of bars for cheap. The "heavier" ones tend to go for very cheap ($10 +/-). They will tend to be the same as the more expensive ones except weight and that will be about 100 grams difference. After you figure out what you want, if you want lighter ones, you'll at least know which ones you like.
