My cholesterol was 552 before I was placed on 10mg Lipitor in about 1985 as close as I can remember. Unfortunately records from that time have been cremated. Now it runs 150-200 and has for nearly 10 years. Along with the Lipitor I reduced my intake of Big Macs and fries etc. Another good news was that during a recent heart catheterization there was absolutely no trace of plaque deposits, narrowed arteries, or the so called "diabetic heart". They still don't know why my heart does not function well, who knows, maybe no coQ10??? Unfortunately the memory tests showed severe short term memory loss near the same starting period (tests performed 1990 and 2007). The memory loss has been severe and debilitating. If I remember I will ask the doc about it next time I see him.

BTW- My insanity was self generated.
