I did not want to give up a bottle cage so I put my road morph on the front of my down tube using the mount that it came with and the plastic ties. It doesn't have much clearance from the front tire, but I think it looks more aero than sticking out the side. I had it on the bottom of my top tube but had to spin it around when using the car rack and it was always in the way when I picked up my bike. I have a small umbrella cover that I was keeping on it to keep it clean, but it really doesn't get dirty as dirty there as I thought it would and the cover is kinda ugly.
