The one good thing about the 4am wake-up call this morning to make it in time for the cat 5 7:30 start was that it was comfortable riding in a short sleeve jersey.

I put myself in about 8th wheel (the furthest up I've been during a final lap) going into turn three, and held the position going into the last turn, but somehow ended up sliding back into 22nd place in the middle of the pack. My fitness (or even lack thereof) was probably good enough for a top 10 today, but my lack of experience ended up getting the better of me.
