I can sympathize.....
I just had gotten my Allez and immediately crashed on my mountain bike and screwed up my rotator cuff. (Fortunately, no surgery!), and immediately after that had another rather graphic medical issue (Some of you will remember this.....from my posts from the hospital under the influence of Morphine!), come up....or should I say, out? As a result, I didn't get to ride my new bike more than once until Spring Break!
If you don't aggravate the injury and follow the Dr instructions, you'll be riding sooner and longer.

I was riding a bike that didn't fit me, and just got a bike that really works for me. It's less than a week old, no make that less than a half a week old. This really hurts, and I'm not talking about my tailbone.
The pure joy of riding a bike that fits is, well it's just so hard to have to let it sit in the garage.
I'm thinking this time, the tailbone problem could just be one that's slipping in and out of place (what's known as a subluxating coccyx) as sometimes there's no pain at all. So it's intermittent, and only occurs when rising from a sitting position.
I do hear ya, guys. The truth sucks.
