I regret to have to post that I finally had my first fall w/clipless pedals (after almost 2 years and probably 7000+ miles.

HOWEVER, it was in the cause of a good deed.....

On an organized metric century in Salem OR on Sunday, (4-27), while riding in town in a bike lane, I saw a piece of metal about 2 feet long, like the bottom of a fence post, laying at about a 45 degree angle out from the curb.

Since this was a pretty big ride, I was surprised nobody had cleared it out yet. Since there was nobody else around, I decided to stop and clear the metal out of the bike lane.

So....while stopping, I got the left foot unclipped, but did not get the right foot unclipped (new shoes and new pedals), and tipped over from the bike lane into a nice soft patch of newly mown grass.

Absolutely no injuries and I was more concerned about banging up the fork or derailleur on the curb. Thankfully no damage there either.

The guy I was riding with got a good laugh about it.

So I finally got the 'fall' over with, and hope to have at least another 2 years/7,000 miles (which ever comes first) before the next one.

PS: Lightspeed...please change my vote in your poll from 'no fall' to 'fallen'.
