I was driving by my local junk store (sort of like a thrift store but not as nice) and came across this road bike just sitting outside....begging to be taken home. My son has been pleading with me and my wife for a road bike, and when I saw the $5 price tag on it, I decided it might be worth buying and fixing up. The thing is, I didn't have the $5 so I offered the guy some tools and he gladly traded me the bike for a wrench..... Needless to say, I quickly stuffed it in my van and made my get away...happy as a clam

Now....my problem is that I can't find any information on this bike. The markings on the bike itself says: "Asahi Elite" and another sticker says "American Susen Inc." Does anyone have any information about this bike. It's missing the rear derailleur and I need to find another one. It appears to have much of the "original" parts on it and it's in really good shape.
