1) I went on a ride this morning with music for the first time.

2) I bought some schwag I really don't "need," but wanted (new shoes).

3) I'm contemplating doing a demo ride on a pair of 50mm Carbon Wheels (blackwell research, not Zipp).

4) In total road nazi fashion today, I passed several riders on the way home and did not stop to chit chat or make new friends.

In my defense:

1) I only had one earbud in and it was not an IPod.

2) My old shoes kind of sucked & hurt and I got a good deal on the new ones, which aren't even top of the line.

3) The shop owner knows I am unlikely to buy a set of the wheels he is encouraging me to demo, but is just letting me see what they are like.

4) I was rushing home on the bike as I had to stay a bit late at work and was trying to get home as quick as possible. I also do not shave, which puts me more in the Fred camp, as does my backpack with my clothes and laptop.

So tell me, am I doomed to senility and living my life through BF?
