I ride both in and out-of-town, and have to admit that I just don't notice that much in-town. I'm a nature freak, so it would have to be pretty outrageous for me to notice in town. Stuff that I see out on the prairie or in the mountains, however, can be pretty wild. To me, anyway. Let me see.

Young colts scampering across mountain meadows. Bighorn sheep licking road-salt along the edge of the road. Fields full of spring-time flowers that come into full and colorful bloom around dawn. Local rancher kids practicing rodeo events after school like barrel racing, roping, etc. (I was brought up in the city...really neat to me). Lots of stuff like that.

The absolute wildest thing happened to me about a year ago, though. I was coming down this long foothill descent at about 32-33 mph, when 3 mule deer jumped out onto the road right in front of me from behind some shrubby willows beside the road. I hit the middle one. I walked away from it with some road rash and a big bruise on one shin where I landed on a rock. A guy that saw it happen, just happened to work at a High School just down the street from my house, and some 15 miles away from the accident, and gave me a ride home. I'm still riding that bike too, after replacing the entire front end.
