It's probably more secure to tightly wrap a good chain or u-lock around a parking meter than risk one of these City Racks for a full work day. Meters are set into the pavement rather than just bolted to it. And if someone tries to saw off the top, with all that city money, police are more likely to respond.

We used to have two City Racks in front of my apartment building. Now we have none. It's just too easy to back a car into one and knock it out of the sidewalk.
