I must confess, I really like those super-heavy Cheng Shin tires for everyday commuting. I can spend a lot extra on Schwalbes and Paselas (which I also love,) but since my commuter LHT is never really about weight,(just added a kickstand,), it's fine. I am currently running some really nifty tires I yanked off of an Electra Townie (Cheng Shin ) on my heavy, heavy bike. But you know I like to ride it more than I like to pick it up with one hand.

If I want to do a Lance-ride I have a lighter wheelset ready to go and take off the fenders.
