wow, worth the wait, i have to say. after being on a trek 1000 (albeit with 105 and open pros) for three years or more, this thing is like silk. went up Killer Mountain today and i just flew, unbelievable. also so so so smooth, like a pimp in purple velvet on quality coke... THAT smooth. the difference between carbon and alu is something else...
so yes, great bike, and full marks to patrick for quality of ride, but had some other issues re stuff, which i hope we can clear up...
anyway -
wheels: Two Wheel Enterprises, easton tempest II rims, hand built hubs, sapim bladed spokes (great, great wheels)
seat: arione wing flex (finally my arse has found its throne!)
post: fsa 20mm setback
cages: specialized
rear cassette: ultegra 12-25
group: sram red
stem: itm forged lite carbon
bars: itm ergal 7075
headset: fsa
pedals: look keo classic
tires: michelin pro race 2 (why oh why can`t they do these in ALL black, instead of the odd grey?)
there was a slight issue with the seat tube being a little big, had to use shims and thus had to put seat clamp other way round as the mechanic was worried about damaging the carbon at the other side from clamping - looks bit odd but whatever.
am probably going to drop the stem down and cut the steerer down too, just want to get the ride sorted out first.
comes in at 7.3kgs - not too bad for a 58 frame, ultegra cassette, cheapish pedals and bars.
