I too have a 4300, and the Trek Interchange II Rack works great. Granted, I do most of my riding on streets and paths, but it seems to be extremely solid. The interchange trunk that connects to it is pricey, but extremely convenient.

Sweet looking bike. I have the black 04 model and the silver 03 model. Now if you top your bike off with a Brooks saddle you will have it made. That looks like one of them Serfa deals that you have. I sat on one of those once. OUCH!!!
